Carlos has been with Federal Immigration Counselors since 2016. He started as a Legal Clerk until moving up to the position of Finance Manager.
Carlos obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University at San Francisco, CA, in 1969. He went back to his country, where he held various positions in the Public Administration and was appointed Undersecretary of Economy from 1977 to 1980. In 1980 he established his own business, which he sold in 2012.
Although retired in his own country, he came to the United States fleeing violence in El Salvador. He immigrated to the United States in mid-2013 and obtained his American Citizenship in November 2019.
His experience in various financial positions in the Public and Private sector, and his immigration process from El Salvador to the United States, has provided Carlos with a unique perspective to understand the economic problems of immigrants. Many of our clients have received Carlos’s financial advice to be able to pay the legal expenses of representing them before the immigration courts, as well as the expenses of the proceedings before USCIS.
This has allowed them to stay and work legally in the United States until their personal situation changes so that in the future they are eligible to apply for a permanent visa.
